The tourist, identified as , 30, was detained by security guards at Central Festival Chiang Mai shopping mall after allegedly slashing all four tyres of a Toyota Vios car around 8.30pm on Thursday. The sight of the angry man slashing at the tyres with a knife frightened many shoppers, but he did not attack anyone. The two knives seized from the South Korean tourist after he allegedly slashed all four tyres on a parked car. The police investigation found the South Korean had gone to the shopping mall twice that night. Police said the man was the only son of a wealthy South Korean businessman.
